Demo
We try a naïve mechanism by putting a buffer in the receiver. We use Gstreamer queues to increase maximum latency by making them store one second worth of data. We also use rtpjitterbuffers to observe the effects.
We show the NTP clock based synchronization method over the network. One of the servers is connected to a wifi interface while other is connected to the LAN. As evident in the vide, we use ntpdate to sync devices to a common system. And we initially start Receiver1. One can observe that receiver 1’s streams do not move ahead until receiver 2’s streams are started. Later they stream together with < 1 frame synchronization.
